Yellow Flags to Guide Public to Dansal Events in Sri Lanka

The Commissioner of Buddhist Affairs (Development), Asela Madusanka, announced a new directive requiring the use of yellow flags instead of Buddhist flags to guide the public towards 'dansal' (food distribution events). This instruction was made at a media briefing on the State Vesak celebrations held on May 18th. A circular has been issued with Cabinet approval mandating this change for all future 'dansal' promotions across the country. The directive aims to streamline public guidance for these traditional Vesak season events.
