Woman Fatally Struck by Train Near Wellawatte Station

A woman was killed after being struck by a train near the Wellawatte Railway Station on Saturday evening, May 30. The train involved was travelling from Panadura towards Colombo. The deceased was described as wearing a white and brown sari and carrying a green bag. Her identity has not yet been established, and her body has been placed at the Kalubowila Hospital mortuary. Wellawatte Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
