Vipul Misra Takes Helm as SriLankan Airlines CEO

Vipul Misra has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SriLankan Airlines, effective September 9, 2026. Misra previously served as the Head of Engineering and Accountable Manager at the national carrier. He possesses over two decades of experience in aircraft engineering and aviation leadership, with prior roles at major Indian airlines such as Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Vistara. Misra joined SriLankan Airlines in 2024, bringing extensive senior management expertise to the role.
