Veteran Sri Lankan Singer and Actor Priyankara Perera Dies at 64

The final rites for veteran singer and actor Priyankara Perera, who passed away at the age of 64, are scheduled for tomorrow, September 3. His remains will be placed at a private funeral parlour in Borella this afternoon (September 2) for the public and well-wishers to pay their final respects.

Veteran Sri Lankan singer and actor Priyankara Perera has passed away at the age of 64. He had been receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital for a prolonged illness and died the previous night. Perera was the son of the late renowned singer Milton Perera, and his wife is popular actress Dilhani Ekanayake. He gained significant popularity during the cassette era of the 1980s and 1990s, known for hits like 'Supun Sadak', 'Ran Pokunen', 'Sikuruliya', and 'Agadha Sagaraye'.
