University Admission Handbook to be Released Tonight, Detailing Entry for Over 176,000 Students

The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that the university admission handbook for the new academic year will be released at midnight on April 27th. This handbook is crucial for the 176,527 students, representing 62.64% of candidates, who qualified for university entrance based on the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination results. The A/L results were initially released on March 31st, following an examination where 281,810 candidates appeared. The Department of Examinations also reported that the results of 111 candidates were suspended, and over 30,000 students failed all subjects in this year's examination.
