Under-19 National Cricketers Arrested in Narahenpita Hotel Filming Case

Two members of Sri Lanka's Under-19 national cricket team have been arrested in connection with allegations of secretly filming individuals at a private hotel in Narahenpita. Police stated that the arrests followed complaints from several female doctors who were reportedly filmed using mobile phones while bathing in their rooms. The doctors were staying at the hotel while attending a conference or workshop. Authorities also suspect the players recorded footage involving male individuals. Following their appearance in court, the two youths were released on LKR 500,000 personal bail. Investigations are currently underway to determine if any of the alleged footage was shared online.
