UGC Opens Online University Applications for 2025/2026 Academic Year

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the commencement of online applications for undergraduate degree programs for the 2025/2026 academic year. Eligible candidates, based on their 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination results, can submit their applications starting April 27th. The application process will be conducted entirely online and will remain open for a three-week period, concluding on May 19, 2026. UGC Vice Chairman, Professor Wasantha Liyanage, confirmed that a comprehensive handbook detailing the application instructions will be released in the coming days.
