Two Dead, One Critically Injured in Galle Family Attack

The critically injured woman, identified as the daughter of the deceased grandmother, was discovered near the temporary shed.

Police have arrested a retired army soldier in connection with the attack in Thelikada, Ma Wadawila, Akkara 13, Galle. The deceased have been identified as the grandmother of the family and her granddaughter's husband. The critically injured person, the granddaughter's daughter, is receiving treatment in the ICU at Karapitiya Hospital after one of her arms was severed in the attack, which was carried out with a sharp weapon. The arrested suspect is reportedly the husband of the deceased grandmother's other daughter.
