Two Arrested with Pistol, Drugs; Assassination Plot Uncovered

Two individuals were arrested in Balapitiya with a foreign-manufactured pistol, sixteen live rounds of ammunition, and 11.5 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine ('Ice'). A 31-year-old suspect found with the firearm and drugs was arrested in Berathuduwa, Balapitiya, while a 22-year-old suspect who supplied him was apprehended in Wanduduwa, Balapitiya. The arrests were made based on intelligence gathered during a drug trafficking investigation.
