Turkish Airlines Plane Safely Evacuated After Tyre Fire in Kathmandu

A Turkish Airlines Airbus A330 experienced a tyre fire upon landing at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday. All 277 passengers and 11 crew members were safely evacuated using emergency exits following the incident. Crucially, no injuries were reported among those on board the flight arriving from Istanbul. The fire, which originated in the aircraft's right rear tyre, was quickly extinguished by emergency crews. The incident led to the airport being temporarily closed for approximately one hour, affecting other air traffic.
