Train Collision in Denmark Injures 17, Several Critical

A head-on collision involving two local trains occurred northwest of Copenhagen, Denmark, on Thursday. The incident, which took place on a line connecting the towns of Hillerod and Kagerup, resulted in 17 people sustaining injuries. Of those injured, four to five individuals were reported to be in critical condition, while 12 others suffered minor injuries. A total of 38 passengers were on board the trains at the time of the accident. All injured individuals were transported to hospitals, with some requiring air transport. Authorities have stated that the cause of the collision is currently under investigation, noting that such train accidents are rare in Denmark.
