Three Sri Lankans Injured in Iranian Drone Strike on Kuwait Airport

Three Sri Lankan nationals were injured when Iranian drone strikes targeted Kuwait International Airport on June 3, 2026. The attack, for which Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility, resulted in one fatality and over 60 other injuries among airport personnel and others. The injured Sri Lankans, who were working as elevator repair technicians, sustained minor injuries and are reported to be in stable condition, receiving medical treatment. The Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the incident, with Ambassador Dr. Lakshita Ratnayake and the Head of the Labor Department visiting the hospitalized individuals.
