Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Visits UAE to Bolster Economic Ties

Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, commenced an official visit to the United Arab Emirates on September 2, which will conclude on September 3. The primary objective of this two-day trip is to enhance bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and the UAE across various sectors. Minister Herath is scheduled to meet with several key UAE ministers, including the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, and the Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. Discussions are expected to focus on deepening partnerships in foreign employment, trade, investment, and tourism, recognizing the UAE as a significant regional economic and employment partner for Sri Lanka.
