Sri Lanka to Review Water Tariffs on June 30 Amidst Rising Costs

Minister of Housing, Construction, and Water Supply, Dr. Susil Premajayantha, has announced that water tariffs will be reviewed on June 30th. This decision comes as part of the semi-annual revision process for water charges. According to a government spokesperson, the review will take into account the prevailing economic conditions, including the recent increase in electricity bills. The spokesperson also stated that efforts will be made to ensure the tariff adjustments minimize public pressure. The minister made these remarks during a press conference in Colombo.
