Sri Lanka to Honor Fallen Heroes on May 19th; Families Given Prominence

The 17th National War Heroes' Commemoration Ceremony is set to take place on Tuesday, May 19th, at the War Heroes' Monument in Battaramulla. The event will be presided over by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, honoring the nation's fallen heroes. A key feature this year is the increased focus on providing maximum opportunity for the families of war heroes, particularly those from the North and East, to participate. This emphasis was highlighted by Retired Brigadier S.B. Kohona, Chairman of the War Heroes' Welfare Authority, during a press briefing.
