Sri Lanka Sets 2027 Budget Presentation for November 12, 2026

The 2027 Appropriation Bill, commonly referred to as the Budget Speech, is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on November 12, 2026. According to the Ministry of Finance, the bill will be gazetted on September 18, 2026, with its first reading set for October 7, 2026. The draft, which includes expenditure estimates for various ministries, is due for Cabinet approval on September 14, 2026. The parliamentary debate on the second reading will occur from November 13 to November 20, 2026, followed by the committee stage debate from November 21 to December 14, 2026.
