Deputy Minister of Energy Arkam Ilyas has requested consumers with rooftop solar panel systems exceeding 300 kW capacity to temporarily disconnect their systems from the national grid. This measure is scheduled to be in effect from June 27 to June 29. The objective is to maintain the stability of the electricity grid and prevent potential sudden power disruptions, similar to an incident experienced during the recent Vesak Poya holiday. The Deputy Minister made this appeal while speaking in Parliament on June 26.
