Sri Lanka Railways has introduced a new digital ticketing platform named "Pravesha", allowing passengers to purchase train tickets online for the first time. The service is accessible through the official website www.pravesha.lk and the dedicated Pravesha mobile app. Passengers can now buy tickets by entering travel details and making payments via credit or debit card. Electronic tickets are delivered instantly through SMS or email and can be validated using a QR code. This initiative aims to streamline the ticketing process for commuters.
