Sri Lanka Launches 'ViYASA' Centre to Streamline Business Processes and Boost Investment

Sri Lanka officially launched the 'ViYASA' National Business Facilitation Centre (NBFC) on September 22 to significantly ease barriers for entrepreneurs and investors. Operating under the Presidential Secretariat, the centre aims to streamline investment approvals and remove bureaucratic obstacles that have hindered industrial growth. It will serve as a single point of contact, coordinating across state agencies to expedite solutions for issues related to land, licences, utility connections, and financing. Conceived as a presidential initiative, the NBFC is expected to accelerate industrial development and economic transformation.
