Sri Lanka Launches 'LankaKonect' App for Overseas Workers' Grievances

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), launched the 'LankaKonect' mobile application on June 16th. This new platform aims to streamline complaint management and enhance access to support services for Sri Lankan migrant workers worldwide. Designed to offer more accessible, responsive, and transparent consular services, the app allows overseas workers to easily submit grievances and requests. The initiative was inaugurated in Colombo by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, and is available in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

The LankaKonect app, designed to address grievances of overseas Sri Lankan workers, has been officially launched.
