Sri Lanka Joins Global Labour Policy Discussions at 114th ILO Conference in Geneva

The 114th International Labour Conference (ILO) has commenced today, June 1, in Geneva, Switzerland. A Sri Lankan delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe, is attending the event. The conference, often referred to as the "World Parliament of Labour," brings together representatives from 187 member states to discuss and decide on global labour policies. This year's session, themed "Advancing Social Justice, Promoting Decent Work," will continue until June 12. The Sri Lankan delegation includes tripartite representatives from the government, employers, and workers.
