Speaking at a Cabinet decisions media briefing, the Minister stated that the US Postal Service notified Sri Lanka that the payment had not been received, despite Sri Lanka Post claiming the transaction was completed. This investigation is distinct from discussions regarding a previously reported US$2.5 million Treasury payment also addressed during the briefing.
