Sri Lanka Inaugurates Wellington High Commission, Deepening NZ Relations

Sri Lanka has officially inaugurated its new High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand, on May 28. The opening ceremony coincided with the official visit of Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath. New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Winston Peters attended as a special guest. The establishment of the new mission is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The event featured traditional Sri Lankan religious observances and Māori blessings.
