Sri Lanka Hikes Company and Society Registration Fees

The Sri Lankan government has increased registration fees for companies and societies through an extraordinary gazette notification. The revised fees were issued by Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development, Wasantha Samarasinghe. Under the new structure, the registration fee for a private limited company has risen from Rs. 4,600 to Rs. 5,200. Fees for public limited companies have been adjusted from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 26,400, and for unlimited companies from Rs. 17,250 to Rs. 19,800. These changes amend previous fee orders under the Companies Act and Societies Ordinance.
