Sri Lanka Exports First Locally Made Amphibious Craft to Europe

Sri Lanka has achieved a significant milestone by exporting its first locally manufactured amphibious craft capable of operating on both land and water to Europe. The historic launch event for the high-tech vessel, produced by Ocean Voyager International, took place at the Koggala Free Trade Zone on Thursday (10). Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti presided over the ceremony, marking a new era for Sri Lanka's marine manufacturing sector. This export aligns with the nation's new industrial and export revival policy, signalling a major advancement in domestic production capabilities.
