Sri Lanka Enhances Public Transport with Over 110 New Buses from China and Japan

Sri Lanka is bolstering its public transport system with the impending arrival of more than 110 new buses. 104 new Metro buses are being imported from China's FOTON International Corporation, with all arrangements finalized for their delivery in August to improve service efficiency and quality. Concurrently, seven low-floor Metro buses have been donated by the Japanese government and Yokohama city residents as part of ongoing development cooperation. The Japanese Ambassador officially handed over these buses to the Sri Lankan government, further strengthening the nation's public transport infrastructure.
