By April 16, the department had recorded LKR 765.7 billion in revenue, exceeding the target for that period by LKR 71.8 billion. Officials suggest that an increase in re-export cargo, potentially linked to the Middle East crisis, has contributed to this surge. The department's performance underscores its role in meeting the government's revenue objectives.
