Sri Lanka Braces for Afternoon Showers and Gusty Winds

Sri Lanka is set to experience showers or thundershowers in several areas, primarily after 1:00 PM. These weather conditions are anticipated across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, Eastern, Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces. Strong winds of up to 40-50 kmph are expected in specific regions, including the western slopes of the central hills and parts of the Northern and North-central provinces, while other areas may see winds between 30-40 kmph. Misty conditions are also possible in some higher elevation districts. The general public is advised to take adequate precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning.
