The project to install 16 new state-of-the-art Cath Labs in major government hospitals is estimated to cost LKR 3103 million. The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Mass Media under the guidance of Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, is slated for completion within 2026. Funding for this significant undertaking will be sourced through three main methods. As part of this, the Ministry of Health and Mass Media is directly allocating LKR 715 million for facilities at the Batticaloa, Ratnapura, Badulla Teaching Hospitals, and Galle National Hospital.
