Sri Lanka Appoints First Ambassador-Level Representative to Palestine

Sri Lanka has established a new diplomatic milestone by appointing its first representative to Palestine with ambassadorial-level status. Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath made the appointment, naming M. Fauser to the historic role. This marks the first time Sri Lanka has sent a representative of such standing to Palestine. A cordial discussion was held between Minister Herath and Fauser, during which the envoy highlighted Sri Lanka's enduring friendship with Palestine and pledged to uphold the government's position during his tenure.
