Sri Lanka and Maldives Sign Seven MoUs to Boost Bilateral Cooperation

Sri Lanka and the Maldives have signed seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation during the state visit of Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The agreements, signed following bilateral talks between President Muizzu and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, cover collaboration in tourism, education, higher education, health, sports, youth development, archives, and defence. This initiative underscores a shared commitment to deepening ties between the two nations. Additionally, steps are being taken to establish a Maldivian High Commission in Sri Lanka.
