Sri Lanka and Belarus Ink Pacts on Air Services, Education, and Health

Sri Lanka and Belarus have signed three key agreements, including an Air Services Agreement and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on higher education and healthcare. The pacts were finalized during an official visit to Minsk by Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, where he held bilateral talks with his Belarusian counterpart. This marks the first high-level diplomatic visit from Sri Lanka to Belarus in over a decade, aiming to significantly strengthen bilateral relations. The agreements are expected to lay a solid foundation for expanding cooperation between the two nations in various sectors, including facilitating regular flights. Sri Lankan cabinet approval had previously been granted for these understandings.
