Special Traffic Plan in Colombo for April 28 Peace Walk Finale

A special traffic plan will be enforced in Colombo on April 28, 2026, to facilitate the conclusion of the 'Walk for Peace Program Sri Lanka'. The event will culminate with a ceremony at Independence Square, Colombo 07, scheduled for 4:00 PM. The ceremony is expected to be presided over by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The Colombo Traffic Division, under the Sri Lanka Police, will implement the traffic restrictions, which will commence from 11:00 AM. Several key routes will be affected, including the stretch from Bandaranayake Roundabout to Baseline Road (Borella Junction), Maradana Road, Nandadasa Kodagoda Mawatha, Ward Place, Soysa Roundabout, Lipton Roundabout, and Dharmapala Mawatha.
