Son Arrested for Alleged Double Murder of Parents in Embilipitiya

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Embilipitiya for allegedly murdering his parents. Police stated the incident occurred in the Kiralawelkaduwa area on the night of July 13th, following a personal dispute that escalated into a heated argument. The victims were identified as the suspect's 58-year-old father and 54-year-old mother. The son allegedly used a sharp weapon in the attack. Embilipitiya Police are continuing their investigation into the double homicide.
