Smuggled Motorcycle Parts and High-Value Liquor Seized in Kuliyapitiya Container Raid

Authorities in Kuliyapitiya have seized a container found to contain 42 motorcycle chassis and engines, alongside 190 bottles of high-value Japanese liquor. The operation, based on intelligence received by Superintendent of Police Janaka Karunasinghe, led to the arrest of one individual at the scene. The goods were reportedly imported under the guise of motorcycle parts with the intention of evading customs duties. The coordinated raid involved the Kuliyapitiya Police, the Special Task Force (STF), and other police units. Further investigations into the incident are underway.
