SLBFE Appoints 100 New Employees in First Open Recruitment in 40 Years

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has officially appointed 100 new employees to fill critical vacancies within the organization. The appointments were made on September 7, 2026, under the patronage of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath. This significant recruitment drive is highlighted as the first open recruitment process conducted by the bureau in 40 years. The new staff, appointed to roles such as Management Assistant, Information Technology Officer, Driver, and Office Assistant, are expected to strengthen the bureau's capacity to provide efficient and continuous services to migrant workers and overseas job seekers.
