SLAF's Upgraded Kfir C12 Completes Milestone Test Flight

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) successfully conducted the first test flight of its upgraded Kfir C12 fighter jet on November 11 at SLAF Base Katunayake. This event marks a significant milestone in the SLAF's ongoing fighter fleet modernization program. The upgrade, a joint project with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), transitions the aircraft, known as the "Lion Cub," from extensive ground validation to airborne evaluation. The successful sortie followed comprehensive system integration and ground-based assessments, ensuring the aircraft's readiness for future operations.
