Six Districts Under Heat Advisory as 'Caution' Levels Expected

The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat advisory for six districts in Sri Lanka, including Mullaittivu, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Ampara, Trincomalee, and Monaragala. Residents in these areas are cautioned that the heat index, which reflects the temperature felt by the human body, is likely to reach the ‘Caution’ level during daytime. This level indicates that prolonged exposure to the sun and outdoor activity may result in fatigue. Authorities are advising the public to stay hydrated and minimize direct sun exposure where possible.
