Senior DIG Ajith Rohana Retires After 38-Year Career

Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Ajith Rohana has retired from the Sri Lanka Police Service after 38 years of dedicated service. Rohana, who most recently served as the SDIG for the North Western Province, was accorded a police guard of honour at the Welegedara Stadium in Kurunegala to mark his retirement. A lawyer by profession, he is also noted for being one of the youngest DIGs in Sri Lanka's police history and gained public recognition as the Police Media Spokesman, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. His retirement concludes a distinguished career in law enforcement.
