Russia Pledges Support for Iran's Interests in Middle East Peace Efforts

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in St. Petersburg, where he affirmed Russia's commitment to supporting Iran's interests amidst the ongoing Middle East conflict. Putin stated that Russia would "do everything that serves your interests, the interests of all the peoples of the region, to ensure that this peace is achieved as quickly as possible." Araghchi, who also visited Pakistan and Oman as part of a diplomatic mission, thanked Putin for Russia's support and emphasized the strategic partnership between the two nations. Discussions focused on regional security, ceasefire negotiations, and the tense situation in the Middle East, with Putin also having received a message from Iran's Supreme Leader.
