Ruhuna University Student Succumbs to Dengue Fever

A student from the University of Ruhuna's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has tragically died from dengue fever. Sadali Tharaka, a 23-year-old resident of Deniyaya, was admitted to Deniyaya Base Hospital on June 18th and later transferred to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, where she passed away. She was part of the university's 46th student intake. Prior to her death, she reportedly sent a WhatsApp message to a friend stating, "If I don't die, I'll come," which is believed to be her final communication. Her untimely demise has caused profound shock and grief among the university community.
