The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), acting on intelligence from the Police Special Unit, conducted a raid yesterday (09) at a warehouse on Main Street, Pettah, Colombo. Officials seized a stock of imported skin-whitening creams and lotions with an estimated market value of nearly Rs. 10 million. The confiscated products were found to be lacking legally required details, including manufacture and expiry dates, as well as manufacturer or importer information.
