Repeater Firearm Missing After Negombo Prison Clash Recovered

A repeater firearm that went missing from Negombo Prison following a clash on July 6th has been recovered. The weapon disappeared after a confrontation between inmates linked to drug trafficking and organized crime. Following a search, the firearm was found within the prison premises. Minor disturbances were reported on July 8th but were brought under control by prison officials. Authorities are also proceeding with plans to house inmates at the Old Bogambara Prison to alleviate congestion.
