Private University Student Dies After Hotel Party Clash in Homagama; Five Arrested

The catalyst for the clash has been further detailed: it reportedly began when the deceased student, a friend of a female student, assaulted another male student who had followed the female student to the restroom during the party. The 19-year-old deceased student has been confirmed as a resident of the Nikadalupotha, Wellawa area in Kurunegala, and was reportedly staying at a student hostel in Pitipana, Homagama. A magistrate's inquiry is scheduled regarding the body. The five arrested individuals have been confirmed to be students.
