Prima, a leading flour manufacturer, has announced an increase in the price of its Prima Milk Brand wheat flour, effective April 29. The price of a kilogram of this flour has risen by Rs. 5, bringing the new retail price to Rs. 225 per kilogram, up from its previous price of Rs. 220. The company attributed this adjustment primarily to escalating transport costs, with one source also mentioning increased production expenses. This price revision impacts flour widely utilized in the bakery industry across the island, as communicated to the company's sales agents.
