President Reviews UDA Projects, Emphasizes Flood Control, Housing, and Timely Fund Utilization

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake convened with senior officials of the Urban Development Authority (UDA) at the Presidential Secretariat on Monday (18) to review ongoing and planned development projects. The discussion encompassed crucial initiatives such as the Kalani River flood control project, Colombo water management, the restoration of Beira Lake, and the establishment of a special housing program for low-income families in Ratmalana and Moratuwa. The President underscored the importance of utilizing UDA's budgetary allocations effectively within the current financial year. He also highlighted the necessity for timely decisions and consultation with relevant institutions for projects involving multiple agencies.
