President Anura Kumara Dissanayake chaired a special discussion today (11) at the Presidential Secretariat to review the progress of the 'Prajashakthi' National Poverty Alleviation Programme. Of the Rs. 25,000 million allocated from the 2026 Budget, development projects valued at Rs. 23,000 million have been approved and forwarded to District Secretaries for implementation. These allocations are directed towards projects prioritised by 13,977 Community Development Councils focusing on livelihood development, the production economy, and food security.
