President Dissanayake Vows Fair Law Enforcement, Stresses Equality

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has asserted that all individuals are equal before the law, rejecting any culture where power supersedes legal adherence. Speaking at a Matale District Coordination Committee meeting, the President stated that the law will be implemented fairly and without malice, not with vengeance or anger. He stressed that public officials should not be intimidated but must fear wrongdoing, emphasizing that accountability is crucial for national progress. President Dissanayake also highlighted that steps are being taken to transform the selective enforcement of law based on power, wealth, or political influence.
