President Dissanayake Pledges to Strengthen Local Industries, Expand Procurement Opportunities

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has declared that strengthening local industries is a primary government objective. He announced plans to expand opportunities for domestic businesses in government procurement in the future. These statements were made during a discussion held this morning (08) at the Presidential Secretariat with the Ceylon United Business Alliance (CUBA). The meeting included extensive discussions on the challenges faced by local industries due to the ongoing conflict situation in the Middle East, as well as other difficulties encountered by industrialists. Potential positive solutions to these issues were also addressed during the session.
