President Dissanayake Establishes Committee to Safeguard Eastern Lands

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced the formation of a special committee to safeguard lands in the Eastern Province. This committee will be headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police. The President stated that numerous problems have emerged in the region due to land grabs facilitated by the misuse of political power, emphasizing that such practices will no longer be tolerated. These remarks were made during a Special District Coordination Committee meeting held at the Ampara District Secretariat. The initiative aims to address these long-standing issues and ensure proper land management in the region.
